In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1).

Our means of discerning the source of the cosmos and life is found in the Bible and applied by the individual through revelation. One must utilize spiritual, rational, existential, and empirical awareness in proper acquiescence to God’s Word. Scripture is our authority and guide. Mankind is not the standard. Science, properly acquiesced, is of great help, but science cannot be the standard. The Bible alone provides an unchanging epistemic standard based on an all-knowing and unchanging God.
Perchance: Information (science has learned) + design (one rightly designs the format based on other preexisting living things) + material (the information and material parts together) = life (conceivably).
This loose conjecture actually demonstrates that intelligent design is required for life even if men “create” it in a laboratory. Note: The scientists do not throw the random (most likely unmatchable and unrelatable) chemicals in a haphazard manner in a spinning warm tumbling machine to try to produce a biological entity that has DNA information code (try putting a pen and paper in a running clothes dryer, turn it on high, and see if you get Shakespeare; information is not produced by unguided forces). One needs information, intelligence, design, and the correct bio-chemicals to create life.
Moreover, whatever scientific investigation, examination, inquiry, research or study is undertaken, for any theory to be demonstrated, the scientist must employ the laws of logic (Law of Identity: A=A and Law of non-contradiction: A~~A) every time he pursues his experiments. Only God can provide the required rational environment for the laws of logic. The immutable God with universal reach has the ontic capacity to account for the immutable universal laws of logic utilized in all scientific quests. Thus, even if a scientist was pursuing a way to disprove the existence of God, in his research he must employ and presuppose the laws of logic which only God can ground. It’s remarkable that any anti-theistic aim (or argument) actually requires God to exist since it relies on the laws of logic grounded by God.
The astounding truth is that any atheistic argument actually requires God to exist since it relies on the laws of logic grounded by God.
- The Laws of Logic are: Immutable, universal, immaterial, transcendent, infinite diversity in unity, aspatial.
- God is: Immutable, universal, transcendent, immaterial, infinite diversity in unity, aspatial.
- God has the ontology mandatory to ground these laws. The material cosmos and all physical things in it are not immutable and universal; they lack the ontic ability required to ground or account for the laws of logic.
Scientific research cannot be the ground and source of immutable truth for it is based on induction and causality; additionally, it cannot yield truth if God doesn’t exist.
Amiable agnostics will talk cheerfully about “man’s search for God.” To me, as I then was, they might as well have talked about a mouse’s search for the cat (C.S. Lewis).
